The BEAT threshold slider on the left edge of the screen, it says (predictably) : "BEAT threshold". Slide it back and forth. Back and forth. Slide it! Do you see HOW IT WORKS? Do you really see? tRY SLIDING THE PAUSE SLIDER BACK AND FORTH. tHAT CONTROLS THE MINIMU (REPEAT, THE MINIMUM) TIME BETWEEN WORDS. sO IF YOU like reading slow, move it to to the right. If you put it low, the words change fast when the beat arrives. It's all about the beat. If you put the beat threshold too high, the words may change slow(er) or never change at all.
